Default Can't sit jump seat on JetBlue?!?!?

This is the second time I've tried to list for the cockpit jumpseat with JetBlue and the person on the phone says that they aren't able to list us due to new ruling, "No one is allowed to sit in the cockpit jumpseat, whether your CASS cert or not."

Is this true?

Anyone else have this problem?

SWA had a similar issue going on due to a recent snafu.

If you can't JS up front on JetBlue, they shouldn't be allowed to JS on any of us. Simple.

Let's find out why first. If it was something similar to SWA (which is back to normal now), it's hardly our place to be denying rides to the Blue dudes.

Should be all fixed now, talked to a Blue Res chick earlier today and listed/canceled for a flight out of IAD.

Hope not, on the way to the gate right now for a flight home via JB.

You're an idiot! You're also the same reason why pilots get left behind at the gate. First of all, two wrongs don't make a right. Second, I guess no other carrier pilot can ride the Jumpseat because some JB pilot said, "We shouldn't allow access to our Jumpseat." Last time I checked when there's a Jumpseat issue it's usually management's fault or (it's you trying to Jumpseat.) You should never leave the gate with your Jumpseat empty when there's another pilot trying to get home or to work. Also, remember just because there's a sour apple pilot denying a Jumpseat (aka you) doesn't mean you penalize the rest of the pilot group.

Pilot ethicacy 101. Study it! Plain and simple.

The above is false, must have spoken with a agent that was misinformed. Just walked up to the gate for my flight and jump seat is fully avail to cass approved pilots .

And I wouldn't leave a pilot behind cause of some FAA or TsA thing that was temporarily going on. ESP jetblue , they have been too good to me

One time I flew all day and wanted to catch the final ride out of STL to MCO on SWA. Got to the gate in time, seats wide open. Called wife and said I'd be home.

Then, after A and B had boarded, the gate agent said that due to the agreement between my airline and theirs, they couldn't carry more than 2 jumpseaters. Fuggin left me at the gate with a half empty airplane pushing off. I've commuted with 8 jumpseaters onboard before. I am usually pretty civilized about things and did manage to keep my cool, but I wanted to jab this guy in the jaw quite badly.

Had to go back to the crash pad, spend the night, and catch the "0-dark-30" flight out.

Sucks.

Been out of airline flying now for nearly three years. Don't miss this aspect of it at all!

I have NEVER seen SWA not bend over backward to accommodate a JS'er.

All jumpseaters will always be welcome on my seat, no matter what is going on with cass. If we got room, they ride.
