X-Jet Info
All:
I am ready to move into the regional community and would like some basic info on X-Jet, such as an example of a trip you fly(day to day run down), and a domicile rundown if someone could. Thanks. |
be more specific please...basic info you can get from http://airlinepilotcentral.com/airli...xpressjet.html

Could you give me an example of a given week in your life? Just curious about the duty day, plane changes, number of legs, to where, etc. None of this is a deal breaker, I'm just curious.
Also, what base is a new guy likely to go to? How long would it be until IAH could be held? |

Also, what base is a new guy likely to go to? How long would it be until IAH could be held? Duty day Plane Changes: Usually 2 - 3 Number of Legs: 1-5 probably average is 3 To Where? See www.expressjet.com for route map. Note: Your Base has little to do with places you fly. New Hire Bases: Hard to say, some people get what they want right away, others have to wait 2-3 months. All depends on what the manpower needs are during your last weeks of training. If you want Houston but don't get it you'll likely end up in Newark. After about 3 months, you'll probably be able to get Houston. Seems people are usually where they want to be within about 3 months or so. Remember, this could change if hiring slows down! Good Luck |
Smoke-

Do you have any duty or trip rigs? What is min day pay for a lineholder? |

Do you have any duty or trip rigs? What is min day pay for a lineholder? Rigs are block or better. We have trip protection so if you get cancelled or reassigned you won't lose any pay. For every day of duty, the company has to pay you 3.75 hours of flight pay wether you fly or not. So if you have a 33 hour layover at an outstation in the middle of a trip, you will get paid 3.75 hours. If the company calls you out for a 40 minute leg to an overnight and then a deadhead back, you just got paid 7.5 hours for 40 minutes of work. Minimum day pay for any pilot, reserve or line holder, is 3.75 hours of flight pay. |
