there are a few pay per night crash pads as well.

Unless you're rich or being subsidized by your parents or wife or someone you will need a crash pad to commute to EWR. You'll be on reserve for a few months if the hiring continues and even with aggressive pick up you won't fly enough to not have a crash pad. 4 nights at Wyndham is a months worth of a crash pad and you might need a place to sleep 4 nights of a 4 day block of reserve.
|
And when you get a hard line you might still need a crash pad. I've been here 9 months and this is the first month I won't have a crash pad. Next month I'm back in it.

To the OP, Roger Cohen from the RAA knows where you can find a cheap room. Call him at: 202-367-1170. |

Eh, it's like when I was in the Marines, you always had someone calling himself a Marine while in training or sometimes even before the training started. Big Negative!!!! Don't jump the gun, once you pass you can call yourself the best pilot in the world for all I care, but you are guaranteed nothing til you pass training...so yea noone likes a newhire claiming something not earned yet

Back to the original question, how about some Newark hotel rates ???
|
As a EWR 145 FO, I can tell you, get a crashpad. You're life will be a living hell if you expect to get by without one. I'm a lineholder, and it's a necessity. The guys on reserve are spending most reserve blocks not flying. I think this holds true for all bases, FYI.
