Congrats. We operate both Saabs and Q's in IAH. Most recent classes have been fairly even; splitting classes down the middle between aircraft. There's a good chance you will start to see most of the classes coming through become strictly saab, as there were far more vacancies in the last realignment. As for domiciles, IAD is the most junior base for new hires and therefore would probably result in the shortest amount of time spent on reserve.
I couldn't really tell you how much time you will spend on reserve; it depends on how many end up getting hired below you. If I was forced to guess....I'd say 6 months...maybe someone else can give some insight. |

Aircraft is assigned during training based on vacancy. Right now as of our last vacancy we only have Q and Saab slots, mostly Saab. When you get to class you pick aircraft/base in order from oldest in class to youngest (same hire date so someone older is more senior in class)

I'm pretty sure the last class was just assigned by age; eldest to the Q and rest to the saab. I could have misunderstood though...apparently it doesn't take much.....
