What's up at 9E?

Did you guys vote? Are you taking a pay cut, or did you hold the line? Thought I read the vote was supposed to happen yesterday.

Regardless of how things turn out, I wish all of you luck over there.

Thanks for asking. Things couldn't be better! Financially the company is in a great place, there's still a unwaivering devotion to overcompensate incompetence, the upper level management bonus structure has remained strong, and with that- the unionized workforce morale is best described as high, and the company was just voted one of the top 800,000 companies to work for that start with the letter P ;)

In all seriousness, nothing decided yet. Hurry up and wait...

Awesome, finally cracked into the Fortune 1 Milion. Whodathunkit?

Latest update -

Nothing has happened yet on the concessions front and AxialFlow still rocks.

B00sted 01-10-2012 04:54 PM

Bottom line is there ain't no concession to give when your one of the lowest paid in the industry.
At least the Steelworkers Union is always willing to look out for the FA's best interest..They'll take the 5% cut starting Monday.

rightside02 01-10-2012 07:06 PM

All I know is I have heard at least 9 radio calls of mesaba guys still saying the call sign mesaba, then say ummmm correcting flagship ..... A new leaf has turned. Good or bad will only be known in the decades to come....

Damn that makes me nervous, July class date. A bunch of people are below me, but all but 25 are on the turbo-prop. Are they still doing classes regularly? How many people this month and which aircraft are they going to? Anyone in Memphis have the downlow?

Wildflyin 01-10-2012 07:26 PM

How exactly would an out of seniority furlough work? What would be their parameters for doing so?

It's like any other rumors out there, I personally don't believe anything that's posted on a message board unless there's facts to back it up.

mikeypat15 01-10-2012 08:27 PM

Still hiring, new hire in Saab class also got called for next months class.....while sitting in class. If that keeps you up to date on A) our crew planning B) how disorganized 9E is.

Ha. That's the club where you make virtual molotov cocktails and heave them from afar online. Thank you for the honor.

No big deal, I still thank the passengers for flying on Northwest Airlines. Old habits die hard.

You must not work at Pinnacle, manuals don't allow us to advertise to the passengers they're flying on a flight operated by Pinnacle Airlines, we're not cool enough like ASA or Sky West

ha ha, that's awesome!!! Your own company is ashamed to say their name to the passengers. But if I am not mistaken the boarding pass says who operates the flight.

Like the other guy said, the manual says not to say "Pinnacle" only Delta/Northwest. So you want to correct him because he went along with what the manual says? And where did SE says he worked for Northwest?

If people can't even find their seat assignment on the ticket, then how on earth will they be able to figure out who is operating the flight?

The real reason was that we had too many pax freak out and think they were on the wrong plane when the crew said "welcome aboard Pinnacle....."
Ah Crap! Wrong plane my ticket says Northwest! (hits call button)
And NWA wanted to hide the fact that they used codeshares from the people that fly once or twice a year but watch Dateline and know how dangerous and unskilled us regional guys are...

I agree with you, they are trying to hide the fact that it's not NWA they are flying on. Just like Eagle used to have RJ on the engines and they had them removed.

I was thinking the same thing as I typed. ha ha

Skypilotsv1984 01-13-2012 05:53 PM

I believe the whole saying we're Delta and not Pinnacle is BS so therefor I do not say any airline names. It's "thank you for flying with us". I'm not going to say thank you for flying Delta until I get a Delta paycheck, and Pinnacle doesn't allow us to say "Pinnacle" and it's a stupid thing to get in trouble for so therefore "welcome aboard and thank you for flying with us".

flapsfail 01-13-2012 06:45 PM

Unless mx defers the apu during the summer, gear pinned down, pack deferrals and all the other big ticket items that were previously "ops checked good" it's thanks for flying big D

I avoid using the mainline partners name at all costs. Pretending to be the mainline carrier only helps blur the line between mainline and the regional industry. Mainline wants to give a seamless transition to their passengers but we do not do any favors by pretending to be mainline to the pax, this includes those who wear lanyards with the mainline name on it.

flapsfail 01-13-2012 08:26 PM

Im not pretending to be anyone nor represent anyone that I'm not.
What about the paint on the plane? It doesn't help the situation either.
Whether you says Delta, Delta connection or whatever the general public has no idea nor do they differentiate the two. All they see is Delta.

Too bad corporate lobbyists will never let a law get passed that says the following:

"One brand=One certificate--no exceptions."
