Pinnacle Travel Non Rev
I just listed myself non rev to Canada tomorrow and they had me pay a $38 fee?? Does anyone know what that is for and have they always had that? Thanks!

I paid that coming back from Canada a few months ago. Was told it was for international taxes.

You are responsible for international departure fees. It varies from country to country. The most outrageous I've seen is leaving the UK... ~$130

I jumpseasted from YYC to YYZ to BOS and did not pay a dime. I listed over the phone and checked in at the gate. This was on Air Canada in 2010.

Thanks everyone I appreciate the help.

Aren't international fees/taxes payroll deducted after the fact? It seems odd that you were charged before getting on the airplane.

If you list as a jumpseater I'm pretty sure you have to pay up front with your credit card. As a non rev it gets deducted out of the paycheck.

Slightly off topic. I am going from YHZ to either JFK or EWR Saturday morning. I listed with ifc.id90.com or whatever for the Eagle flight to JFK no problem, but it almost seemed TOO easy. I didn't pay any fee or anything. As for the EWR flight it is Shuttle America, and I was just gonna show up and list at the gate. I flew from ORD to YHZ the other day on Shuttle America and just listed at the gate for the JS, no hassle, no fee, no problem. I just feel the gate agents at YHZ aren't going to really know what to do with me. Anyone else have a similary experience? I am a Pinnacle pilot.
