Attending Air Inc Job Fair in Nov

I am giving it a try to see what its all about. Anyone have info on these fairs, and whether they are beneficial or not?

I got my first airline interview at one in LAX. Bring current resumes, and dress for an interview. Some companies will give you an interview date, others have been known to actually do interviews on the spot.

There will be long lines to get to the recruiters, only approach the companies that are in your league. A 1200/100 CFI shouldn't waste 2 hours in the FEDEX line. If you are somewhat below minimums, that's OK. I was given an interview date and told to get my time up to the mins before the interview.

You might want to look at the list of companies attending...if you are not interested or remotely qualified for those companies you may not want to spend the dough.

Good Luck

The list of companies isn't that big. Does it get better closer to the date?

Sometimes more companies will come at the last minute. I attended one and was called the next day for an interview. If they were cheaper I would recomend more people to attend these because you can meet alot of recruiters and learn some stuff, but I think they are too expensive. But for a low time guy it can be a good way to get an interview. .....possibly.

good luck

Eagle's mins I believe have been lowered to 500 and 100. We are desparate for pilots. I would encourage you apply online. Go to AA.com and click the American Eagle careers link. It will tell you how to apply.

Sure, if you've already talked to all of the regionals and have some time left. I agree sometimes people get jobs that way.
