United carry on policy

Are they enforcing the 1-1 rule like they said? I have a deadhead today and need to take my flight kit, rollerboard and laptop case. I really don't want to check anything.

Doesn't apply to deadheads

Actually the policy doesn't apply to DH for mainline crewmembers per the bulletin that was put out. I don't like it either if there is a DH crewmember in uniform no matter which airline. However, the agents have been instructed to not exempt others from the policy. Just letting you know as it may or may not be enforced.

If they want to do that to a DH'er then take your time getting off the plane, walk as slowly as you can to baggage claim, go get a coffee, stand in line for security, proceed to the gate, and get the jet ready. If you take a delay you can tell dispatch that if you didn't have to go out and get your work items from baggage claim then you might actually have made the departure time. Enough of that and the company will change that policy!
