Default Need help with CRJ200 W&B App.

Hello everyone, I need a little assistance with an iPhone app I am currently working on. I've made an app called PocketACARS and what it does is it simply figures out how many bags/pax you can take when you are weight critical (it doesnt calculate balance) It is mainly for planning purposes (non ACARS environment, gate agent bugging you, jumpseater etc...)

Long story short, version 1.01 is currently in the app store but I have 53,000 (max struct. to limit) 47,000 (max land limit) and 44,000 (max ZFW) currently hard coded as the absolute limitation... I've heard of different airlines having different limitations so I'd like to ask you 200 drivers out there if you have limitations that are different to the ones Ive listed above, not including min flight weight or max ramp weight. I only need those 3 limitations if yours are different so that way I can incorporate it on the next version of my app, which is actually FREE! Feel free to download it if you'd like... If the moderators would let me, here's the link:

App Store - PocketACARS

Well, in my waterski days the jungle jet was never weight critical unless it was an EP flying out of Denver. =)

Those damned EPs. Useless pieces of junk. Still, that looks like a pretty sweet app, good job.

Same for PSA. Aren't you too smart to be a pilot? :P

Default what's the point?

When you are up in front of the FAA and their attorney's explaining why you used a phone app to calculate the W&B for your flight instead of using the certified company numbers or approved vendor numbers? So again what is the point??

If you are going to sell the data to individuals, please provide the under writer that you will use for insurance purposes. Good idea, but how would anyone legally use it? Part 91 maybe anything else is a liability. Like the idea, just not sure if one looks at the legal risks it would be worth it for anything other than part 91 ops. If one can even find a 91 CL-65 operator that does not use a licensed flight planning service... Just sayin

Waaay cool App! Nice job. Just downloaded it, and checked it out. How do you set the parameters for BOW?

What a great idea. How about one for the 700/900? Or just make this work for all three...

When I finally get un-furloughed, we won't have any more -200s at Mesa. Just those other pesky, not-so-shiny jets.

Thanks!!!

There are several 91 operators flying the type, MWR Racing and NASCAR for openers.

Deep breaths man, deep breaths. He said right there its for planning purposes.

It happens every day where someone says "I need to know how many people can go, right now." or you're asked if you can take a jumpseater before you've even walked on the plane or done any paperwork.

Looks like a useful tool to be able to give an answer to keep the show moving along while you work out your actual dispatching W&B data.
