Ok The truth about Riddle guys

Ok I am sure I will get some flack for this but here it goes! Most, and I say most Riddle guys are arrogant poorly skilled pilots. The majority think they are God's gift to aviation because they spent $30,000 a year on an education that taught them the same thing your local FBO could have for a fraction of the price. The reason they are willing to pay this much, is probably the same reason they take jobs at places like MESA & GOJETS, Mommy and Daddy pay their bills so their little boy can tool around in a 50 pax jet, but hey he's an Airline pilot. Like I said I know a few that are cool cool, humble guys, but unfortunately for them, most are not.

You shouldn't get too much flak for this, since I think most would agree with you. Including me! One thing though: a huge percentage of them are not bankrolled by their parents, and are taking the route of massive loans and debt. They're so drunk with Kool-Aid they think it's worth it.
I had a neighbor in Daytona...a 32-yr-old starting freshman who regurgitated all the catch phrases of ERAU's Ministry of Propaganda (Miniprop for short), such as "ERAU is the Harvard of Aviation" and "Just being able to put their name on your resume is worth the tuition." He's now 34, already $100K in the hole, over two years to go...failed his instrument checkride twice now. He honestly believes there's a $200K/year job waiting for him a few years after graduating.
If he were half as smart as he thinks he is he'd cut his losses and transfer to UCF or somewhere similar. But he isn't.

Sound like you hit the nail on the head to me! That pretty much sums up every Riddle grad I've ever met.

Your absolutely right....they shouldnt take the job flying the 50 pax jet....they should hold out for he 777 captain spot that is sure to open up for them soon with all their 300 hours of experience.

Maybe if they take the 50 seat jet job its because they dont think they are god's gift to aviation but someone that wants to learn and get experience.

Keep bashing them cuzz im sure the 777 captain's gig worked for you at 300 hours.
