Crash: UTAir AT72 near Tyumen on Apr 2nd 2012, lost height in initial climb

These guys and united 757 pilots have something in common.

I wont say who but there was an RJ de-iced with cold type one fluid this past winter. It froze on contact with the aircraft skin creating one gigantic popsicle. The de-ice crew found them clean and sent them on their way. If it were not for the high engine vibration caused by the N1 fan blade being frozen in place during engine start and the bearing committing harakiri it could have ended very badly.

Things that make you go ***.

In Soviet Russia...

nobody waste Vodka on wings.

This is posted on almost every aviation forum there is. Funny how one thing in common is all the US pilots make fun of the Russians almost for this yet they are guilty of the same, or even far worse bloopers.

When the Russians, who have the worst aviation safety record by a long shot, match (or even get close to) the safety record of western carriers, we'll worry about NOT making fun of the idiotic things some of their pilots do.

They've EARNED the right to be made fun of.
:D
