I remember when Baywatch was trying to recruit a bunch of good looking Mesa pilots for make-out scenes with Pamela Anderson, but none of us could get a day off. Now, we're just a bunch of wrinkled up LAMAs. Maybe they will call us to make-out with Betty White.

Stop being an ass, but then again I bet that comes naturally to you. It just makes posting here all that much more enjoyable.

If you want this thread to remain LAMA then when a simple question is asked just answer it and move on. Otherwise you’ll be called out for what you're being.

Yeah, you're spot on about everything... I'm a huge piece of work, but you'll get me someday. Sorry for not comparing to your awesomeness. I like your avatar though. :D

MoarAlpha, Matchpoint, welcome to our little LAMA thread. Because of the nature of apc.com and starting this thread on an open, accessible forum, anybody can troll on here out of morbid curiosity. Those that have moved on to other carriers don’t have the time or energy to start some kind of Mesahub, or Mesalounge, forums that existed years ago but were shuttered for murky reasons. But we also find ouselves with down time, usually on a random layover to click on the regional section to see which way the wind is blowing.

So we are left with this exposed forum to rekindle the sense of camaraderie, friendship and shared struggle that can only happen at a company like Mesa, filled with pilots, many of whom walked with me on the informational picket line on Van Buren during the shareholders meeting, voted “No” on the last contract, and labored to make the airline a better place to be in our own way. I had a charmed run at Mesa and out of dumb luck, upgraded pretty quickly, dodged much of the strife that roiled the Air-Middy pilots and the ORD based RJ pilots during the summer of hell in 2006, (which in my opinion was truly the turning point and the beginning of the end leading to the shell of what the company is now) and ran my time in only two bases. And let's face it, I wouldn't be where I am now if it wasn't for my time there.

So if you are now LAMA, I lift a glass to you in salute, and if you are still in the trench, God Speed! If you're one of my clique, believe me, I'll do anything possible to get you onto your next job. And if you’re a troll from another airline, really, I’ll save the snarky sarcasm, but there is nothing to see here, but by all means, grab a beear and make yourself comfy.

I was just wondering what LAMA meant. Didn't mean to offend anyone.;)

There should be a Bud-Light song about this. "Today we salute you Mr. Life After Mesa Airlines guy... After years of abuse, like a battered wife that keeps going back to her abusive husband, you finally broke free..." Anyone else feel free to add your own lines to this song.
