TSA policy for screening crew out of uniform

I've had this exact issue in both MSP and MEM. Both times I already had a boarding pass in my pocket and I didn't feel like argueing so I showed it to them. I emailed my JS coordinator (or security coordinator don't remember which). He told me each airport has their own policy. I like to argue that we should be allowed through with only a crew badge.
Wouldn't it be nice of the KCM was nationwide already? Can we commute (in uniform) and use that system? I don't see why we couldn't. The only rules I have found is 1. crew member in uniform 2. crew badge 3. 2nd form of id.

It is national policy that a TSA approved crew id will allow access to any checkpoint IAW standard screening procedures. Simply demand the supervisor call the TSOC to confirm this. there are many reasons for this and the jumpseat community has fought hard for this. hold them to it.

Sadly, it's in their super-secret manual that you're not allowed to even know about. One of them got angry with me when I quoted it to them at DFW. (When they tried pulling the same crap.) Someone on here in a thread a long time ago posted the chapter/paragraph #s.

You are not going to see the sop's. Demand for them to call the Tsoc for clarification.

Finally found the post I remembered reading on here. This is a quote from that post. (Ie: not my words, so don't blame me if referencing this gets you sent to guantanamo)

I was talking to one of our newly minted VA pilots that was trying to get through security in MEM. He was just coming to 9E ops to turn in some stuff so he obviously wasn't in uniform. The TSA screeners did not believe that Virgin was a real airline (I guess only real airlines fly to MEM). They hassled him for a while then made him go get a gate pass from a ticket counter. Even with a gate pass in hand they still gave him a very hard time about really being a pilot for a real airline. Took him like 20 mins total before they finally let him through...
