I found this guide to be helpful. The owner is a great guy and gets back to you quickly.

I fly the 1900 for airmidwest. I bought a Flight Safety manual off ebay for $40. Make sure you only pay attention to the UE #'s that what most places are flying. Other than that don't get too freaked out, its not a hard aircraft. Make yourself flash cards during ground school, worry about the memory items and the limitations. Get together with your classmates everynight and quiz each othre, you'll be fine. I wouldn't waste the on a study guide, god knows you won't make it back :( . If you like to FLY you'll really enjoy this airplane. Its totally overpowered and out performs just about anything under 250 knots.

Good luck

Where are you going to work?

As a former ZV'er I can say I definately miss the plane itself.... it was fun to fly was definately a pilot's airplane... what I dont miss was all the surrounding conditions of the job.... and ZV SUCKED.... and being half FA SUCKED as well... but if I were to ever find myself on the street again and there was a cargo 1900 spot open I would definately enjoy flying the 1900 again..... BTW Spaking Hank (aka. Hankasauras Rex) still in charge over there???

Correct but I believe they are for the C model 1900's. Nobody is flying that anymore.

Yep, Hankster is still kickin! The briefing duties are what you of make them. The pay and company conditions are what blow the most.

I THINK Colgan is. Or at least WAS when I was there. WAY BACK when they had only 1 "D" model. (Lost the other one {just the aircraft, thank God} in HYA on an approach in 1999). That's when the TOTAL AC was 6 (maybe 7?)

How well I remember.... but the worst wasnt just the briefing duties I thought the worst was standing at the bottom of the stairs while it rains on you and some a$$ hole pax storms his/her way out to the plane curses you out throws their bag at you then storms their way up the stair case.... Last I check even at CRJ rates I don't get paid enough to put up with that $hit...... but yes ZV is a $hit hole company... the only good news with the hankster is last I remember he was half senile so it was almost a liscense to get away with things....
