It may not be for everyone if you absolutely dislike ear plugs, but I love my Clarity Aloft. I don't like earplugs either but the CAs are comfortable.

get the best of both worlds: get the Halo from Quiet Technologies. Light, comfortable and quiet like the ClarityAloft but at Telex prices. About $350.

Been using mine in the 145 for over a year and have no complaints. It doesn't pick up a ton of wind noise like the Telex, Bose, and ClarityAlofts and is super quiet.
