9E is AFU

So,
Group of 9E guys at fedex jumpseat trying to go home & commute and can't because apparently their (pinnacle's) CASS was down. A couple of us called and got the "we know, IT is working on it.". One asked if they were really there this time of the morning working on it and they had no idea.

And people were having problems finishing the LMS training. I heard of people not being able to do it at work from a company computer as well.

What a joke of an airline...

Salukipilot4590 06-26-2012 12:24 AM

I'd just not show up for a trip and blame it on IT.

Done.

Crewtrac is down too, maybe didn't pay a bill or fired the guy who knows how to fix it....doesn't surprise me, Staffing at least on the FO side is getting interesting. They are flying the reserves like crazy, they put me on a four day trip last week, changed various out and backs 4 or 5 times the CA flew with 3 different FO's on the last day.

Avroman 06-26-2012 04:33 AM

I have a CDO that (as of last night when I last could get on Crewtrac) still didn't have the FO covered. Perhaps I will be getting a paid night off.

amorris311 06-26-2012 05:02 AM

KCM is down on the Colgan side. That was fun when there are a half dozen guys standing behind you.

Laxrox43 06-26-2012 05:06 AM

Things are getting interesting on the Colgan side too. FO's are dropping like flies, I see at least one Check Airmen per day flying in the right seat (not doing IOE), MX is becoming ridiculously atrocious (more than usual, believe it or not), and morale is at an all time low. This place is falling apart at the seams! Is it sad to say that I look forward to transferring over to PNCL?

PS. Can someone PM me and answer some questions that I have about the ATL base?

Speaking of MX, on my last two stints of rsv, one airplane had 8 MEL/CDL stickers, two more had four each and one fms was updated early (like the LIDOS) with the aerodata acars, making it deferred. Its getting kind of ridiculous.

Transferring to pinnacle will only be a disappointment if you think its better over here. Remember its the same puppeteers pulling the strings.

Agreed. The entire place is crumbling, what it originally was no longer matters. This whole mess of cards is about done.

captain152 06-26-2012 09:28 AM

The latest airmail from JS definitely didn't help the morale around here either.

I've tried to be optimistic, but the facts are there and everything adds up to us being absolutely screwed. It just sucks all around. I'll give it 100% until the day I leave, but it's not easy knowing what the future holds.

tom14cat14 06-26-2012 09:28 AM

I look at the XJ 900 flights out of MSP and they have at least 5+ Long delays a day. They end of shifting the 900 flying and the 9e side of the fences to the XJ side of the fenced 200 all the time. Most of the trips i cover are 9e side of the fence trips. We are also getting thin on FO's over here.

flapsfail 06-26-2012 10:57 AM

It's all BS. I was optimistic as well but even if we keep the flying, there is no way we will survive with the way we are managed.

Forget the mgmt for a minute, I've heard a few rumors about 9e pilots that make me sick. Anyone remember the union email about guys being bought off and capped at 100 hrs?
Rumor I heard was that a certain individual was abusing his privileges and crediting an absurd amount every month. This is why the union made this new policy. I'm sure there are more that do this but the guy in question makes it worse.

Time to punch out

I guarantee you there are some sim/line check airmen crediting 150+

flapsfail 06-26-2012 11:42 AM

The guy in question is neither of those....I can understand the other guys crediting that much but the one I'm referring to is neither.

HIREME 06-26-2012 11:53 AM

It's times like these that we have to focus on being professionals. In the end, it's about who we are and not what's going on around us or happening to us. The situation isn't fun and we should make contingency plans, while being professionals. The bright side is, there's a lot of good people here...sadly, many good people have left as well...

Was he doing something illegal? Falsifying records or documents? Can you be more specific?

Laxrox43 06-26-2012 12:13 PM

Hireme...+1

maybe 125 at the most if they give OE every single leg. We can't pick up right seat flying, and there really isn't much CA open time for a sim instructor to pick up, and what little there is it's hard to be legal for.

Pretty sure I know who you are referring to and he is one of the same guys that was responsible for a memo/policy a while back about no more than 4 CDO"s in a row and stuff like that....also one of the reasons why if you call in sick, any premium pay you picked up is voided. I never got that email about 100 hour cap....was it for fenced XJ side?

flapsfail 06-26-2012 04:44 PM

No the one in question is a 9E guy. Something illegal, no not technically. This will most likely give it away but I don't care anymore. One of the things in question was cherry picking trips in open time before the LIP was given to the pilots...

Someone dating a scheduler? There are a few XJers who did that.

But Steve N said we are all doing so goodly. Really! I mean it! He said all is well.

I'll operate in a safe, legal, and prudent manor for the pax, but don't expect me to pull a fresh plane out of a hat.
