I tell you what, those training center guys pour the best kool-aid. There have been rumors of an ONT base, a DFW base, LAX base, MCI base etc etc I think anyone who commutes starts a rumor about a base in their city just to make them feel better. We should start a BNA base, it already feels like a mini hub. And the big announcement has been rumored for a long long time.

haha I agree. unfortunately I think the big announcement is going to simply be that they will be pursuing other options, hopefully something new n exciting but I guess only time will tell

Latest word on the line is that we will be doing our own branded flying. I have also heard that CAL plans to withdraw the airplanes so slowly (something like 2 a month) that the loss will be almost unnoticeable and at a rate slower than natural attrition covers.

Yep, that's the latest word on the line, so let's see, 10 XR's to Charter, 25 LR's to Mexico, that leaves 34 XR's. To tell you the truth I believe we have the infrastructure to support launching brand flying at ONT, or where ever else they decide to do it at. If it all works out, we won't be at the mercy of the Legacy carriers pimping us around. Just my two cents.

Didn't work out too well for ACA, but ya never know. There seem to be quite a few bright people working at XJT but sometimes they seem a little over confident.

Jope so

Hope it all works out let the bottom feeders kike CHQ, and MESA keep cutting each tohers throat for flying. like our painting facilities, Thrust reverser facility, and hopefully some more exciting stuff in our future we won't be completely dependable on CAL, however it is their flying and what they decide to do with it is their bissiness, even if they means sending the flying to second rate regionals like CHQ, and yes CHQ you guys may fly 170's but you fly them for ****ty pay and you should be embarresed.

P.S. to the fell above XJT's plan isnt to fly completely on its own just, the remainder of the a/c. If larry wants to have CHQ fly for you guys expect the quality of CAL to go down, they are used to mostly flying for Airways which could give a damn about quality, clean a/c, or on-time performance. Duvie is right though sometimes they seem a little too overconfident we have to remember that it is CAL's flying and without them we would be ******

The difference is that we would only be operating a very small number of our aircraft as "XJT Airlines". Even if CAL pipe-bombed the 69 airplanes tommorow there are STILL 200 airframes operating for CAL. That is one hell of a steady income stream.
