Colgan Rides Again
Ok, so I interviewed with Colgan back in August and after successfully passing the sim, I was called back. I passed the written, the Tech and the HR. At the very end, Mr. Colgan says to me, I just noticed that you only have 90 multi, we didnt catch it, sorry. You can reapply in the future. No harm no foul, I was there cause someone walked the resume in and i didnt have the published mins. I went home, continued to instruct, bought more multi and now I have 1000/105. So I call Colgan and say I want to reinterview and they say we'll call you back let us look at your interview results. Sure enough, That same day they call back adn say my results were great just not enough time, come back in a week and we want to chat. Just bring your logs, certs, med, and passport. I hate to ask the question, but what should I expect. I did everything already and I'm a little unsure with what i should expect. I dont want to get railroaded in the interview and call me crazy, I wanna fly turboprops in New England, my old stopping ground. Bad weather, ice, snow and everything else mother nature can throw at the Captain and I is something I will enjoy. Call me the glutton for punishment.

Well I was at Colgan for 9 months and you will get pounded by wx in the northeast, and good for you for wanting to fly Turboprops, the SAAB is an awesome airplane you will have a lot of fun. They need guys I was down in IAH for xjt training and I saw some old Northwest Airlink SAABS, I think some are to replace the A models which they got rid of, and some are for growth. They will most likely hire you, just surprised you got this type of "runaround" in my class of Nov14th of last year I think we had aguy with 85 multi, I am not sure but I think. They probably want to meet up with you agian to reassure you are who you say you are, I would not worry too much. Well good luck and have fun in the SAAB, or the Beech I hear thats a blast too
P.S. A word to the wise, the not catching the 90 multi until after your interview sounds a little fishy, eitther it was an excuse or a prelude to how they run their operation!

Why don't you prepare like you are going to have to interview again? You already passed everything, right? So you know what to expect. Just brush up on obscure stuff or the stuff you had trouble with the first time around and I'm sure you'll be able to go in there feeling confident. Personally, I'd rather be over prepared and not need it than be under prepared and wish I had it.
As far as your desire to fly turboprops in the northeast, they have a word for that...it goes by the initials s&m Best of luck to you.

i got the "bull**** not enough time " runaround story twice from them also even though i meet what there advertising. they also thought that i dont know how to talk to ATC since i taught out of an uncontrolled airport.
now that i have more than enough time to apply again, my personal belief is why would i wanna work for a company that continually changes is stance on issues at the drop of a dime, publish the REAL TIMES that you want, dont waste my time and i wont waste yours!

TSA has been making a habit out of hiring people under 100 multi. I believe SkyWay at the very least has had published mins under 100. I'm sure there are a few others.
