If we don't vote for these concessions them other regionals will end up getting the new planes.

I hear ya. We could vote to work for free, and they still would get them.

Thanks for the post. Be sure of it, eagle is headed down the path of comair. Sorry guys. I would rather vote no and have the doors eventually close and investments from all lost, than continue taking concessions to keep the flying. As you all can see from my avatar, I've seen first hand what concessions get you; a bankrupt company that still loses flying. The course is set for eagle, we might as well go down fighting instead of on our backs. God willing there will be hiring at a better level soon and we can show our management some appreciation with our feet.

With Comair now shutting down and 654 pilots hitting the street it appears the pilot shortage that always seems to be just around the corner may be put off yet again for another year or so. That could give Eagle management the idea that pilots are in abundance and they really don't need to give us very much at all.

Also, it's possible that Comair may be the first of several regional airlines to be liquidated. It's been a possibility for us for some time, albeit an unlikely one, but a possibility just the same.

Thoughts?

IF more regionals are liquidated, its still going to be quite some time... The amount of flying any of the larger regionals cover would be VERY hard to replace quickly. We are talking several years folks...

Gojets is ready and willing to replace pretty much anyone at a tiny percentage of what they're working for now.

To the op, your entire post is rumor, inuendo and speculation. Do you have sources/facts to support any of your claims? ALPA National is denying this and blocking that. Honestly, prove it. Things at Eagle are uncertain and frustrating, but keep your emotions in check and look at management/union tactics as what they are.

It has nothing to do with a company that is WILLING to do it, but rather a matter of logistics. It's very time consuming and requires a lot of resources to absorb a large amount of flying. Even IF it were possible it will take a long time to do.
