Key West Pilots

If there are any Key West pilots around, I've got some questions and need some input. PM me if you don't mind.

Thanks!!

It appears I forgot to read the fine print.

I'm looking for some help with reference photos of the airport. I'm a 3d artist and develop custom art assets for flight simulation software (X-Plane). I plan on making a trip down there some time in the next 45-60 days.

Thanks!!

HF

Same here. I need 10 posts. I live in Naples, FL.. spent a few years in Key West flying around there, instructing, and working as a diver. If you need some help with reference photos or what-not on the airport, go see Paulie at the Island City Flying Service. He's the FBO owner/manager.

Thanks Stry. Getting these projects of the ground is a huge PITA.

Does Naples get any regional traffic?

I forgot about Air Key West. Rob has a partenavia that he uses for air charters and also aerial photography. He's a former Air Force F-16 fighter pilot who randomly flew missions for my platoon in Iraq a few years back (military is a small world). As of right now, Naples (KAPF) does not receive any regional traffic. Back in Nov 2011 they completed the runway extension for 5/23 hoping to increase international traffic and help with a few airlines that are interested in beginning flights there. I believe Atlantic Southeast Airlines used to fly CRJs into the airport shortly before the economy tanked.

As soon as we get our post count up to snuff, I'll PM you. While Key West is at the top pf my list, I'm always looking. I love the west coast of FL.:D

Working on it. I'm in love with the southwest side of FL. I have no idea why people want to live on the east side- Miami, Ft. Lauderdale, etc.. it's so dirty compared to the west. My girlfriend and I really enjoyed being in Naples. We have a lot of friends there and I'm perfectly contempt with limiting my aviation possibilities to that area. Southwest, FL is definitely a place where you can get very comfortable flying jobs if you're willing to stick around long enough.

I spent a few weeks in Punta Gorda, Boca Grande years ago. Paradise.
