actually yes,
just to make sure i even re-read it as you suggested.

your question is - what operator has domicile and training in the same place.

you mention Houston/expressjet as an example.

I was curious if anyone could list the airlines (Major & Regional) that have there jet training/transition courses in the same city as there prospective bases? (i.e. Skywest & Express having HOU bases and training centers)

I ask because I am considering going to Regionals and due to family I would like to attend the training courses in the same city I will live/base.

Any info is appreciated, Thanks!

your carefully crafted "in the same city I will live/base." just does not look like Houston.

maybe a really weird anagram?

Continental also does IAH training. thats probably a bit of a wait.

Having gone through training at 2 different regionals, 1 at home and 1 away, I can say I prefer the one at home. The training was alot better so that may have been helpful but there is nothing like sleeping in your own bed. Give the OP a break people, none of you are tough because you can withstand training elsewhere, we all have to do it. When it comes down to it I bet most would love to be at home. With all that said I would not base my decision to go somewhere on that

hum... which BASES do THEIR training in the Houston area? Did you read your question...

I think you meant to say... Which Regional airlines have crew bases in the same city as their training/sim department? (with a pref for Houston)

You are welcome.

Let me get this straight. OP asks a question. OP doesn't like responses, calls everybody something. Honesty ensues, and most of that gets deleted. So for the OP, I guess:

The regional airlines are a treasure trove of opportunity. They are more than happy to accommodate you to your training needs. If they don't honor what you need, you can march into HR and make demands. I've even heard of some of the better regionals tearing down garages to make two story garage/simulator centers, right at your house! I don't want to call out those places, because some of the lesser regionals may end up with all of the inferior pilots. Good luck at one of the most exciting times of your life!

Probably. A bunch of stuff was moderator deleted, so the context of the content is lost. Sorry if the information now leaves you misinformed. You'll just have to imagine what all of the phantom quotes referred to.

Ifmhouston is where you want to live/train/work, there are probable a few FAR part 141 schools around that might have their own charter departments.

If you're trying to match up regional airlines, good luck with that. Simply put if you luck out and are fortunate enough to be able to train in domicile, awesome... But since many new hires don't even know where their domicile might be until the first day of class, I'd say you're chasing your own shadow.
