I have been reading this forum for over 2 years now and I don't think I can bring myself to work for any regional airline. Like everyone stated, all regionals step on each other and things just seem to get progressively worse. Yesterdays "career regional" has tomorrows layoffs. I think I would have more luck with job security and building turbine PIC time at a part 135 company than any 121 carrier.

Good job on getting the letter of concern
Yes, but only because circumstances worked out that way. You forget that I had a an engineering background and made way more money before coming to Pinnacle. When I started at Pinnacle, I basically took a 4x paycut. Late last year, you remember I was vocal about 9Es upcoming bankruptcy. I applied to airlines in December, and by chance was hired in January. However, in December, I also got in touch with my friends in the defense industry company I used to work at. It'd be enough that I could get them to pull for me and go back in that line of work. Luckily I was hired at an airline in January. However, if not, I would have resigned by Apr 1 and gone back to my old engineering job, making twice what I left at 9E. Not all of us are stuck in aviation with worthless degrees in Aviation Science. And if you think I'd still be there working under a court imposed BK contract, you're sadly mistaken. I'd gladly walk out back to my old job rather than put up with whatever crap contract is about to be shoved down the throats of 9E pilots.

Serious question; why did you walk away from what seems to me, a really solid career field?

Well said... Yeah I would walk out of Pinnacle too if another airline I applied to offer me a class date. I just got another "Letter of concern" on Monday because of sick calls, but I'm sure that's still not good enough for Shyguy, I wish I can "walk out" on Pinnacle just like him
Awwww....how thoughtful! You've been calling in sick lately, and management is so concerned they sent you a 'Get Well' note?
