12-04 realignment
 
I don't mean to stir the pot here, but is anyone else confused about the 12-04 realignment award???

How are there not more 9E guys upgrading, and there are 9L guys holding CA with hire dates at late as Jan '08 (voluntary displacement)??

I would have thought the most junior 9L guy to hold CA would be early '07 at best. I mean I'm shocked I was displaced to FO, and I was hired 2nd quarter '07.

Also it seems like a lot of pilots are missing entirely from this. I thought this award would have a hell of a lot more displacements than it did...

Yea doesn't seem right at all. I found it more interesting that the union proposal would have saved the company near 10 million and they turned it down. Thats what disturbs me the most. Its almost like they want to spend more money than necessary to justify their shamruptcy.

There are many people who are not even listed on the award. I have friends on the Q in EWR who aren't even listed.. Maybe they are still working on it?

They can displace all the 9L guys on this award because of the 110 day limit for class dates. So those guys will get more paid time off, at least until the next realignment. The union sent out an email explaining the whole thing.

Just got the email... Looks like a lot of guys will be sitting at home getting paid for a while longer.

i doubt we even make it to 2013 financially....check out the 1113 public filing, there's a lined blacked out in there saying if they dont get cuts then "Pinnacle will cease operations by xx/xx/xxxx"

other then that yes they cant train all those people, and i dont think people realize just how many folks have left from the bottom of the list, id guess 400-600 meaning that captain line at 50% has gone even further up than most thought.

The company is probably betting that the contract is thrown out and then they can do whatever they want. It if blows up in their face we might all be getting Christmas off this year, unless Delta comes riding in with more cash.

The way it sounds negotiations went, it would surprise me if Delta has already set the date for our shut down (pulling financing and CH. 7 here we come), and management wouldn't budge on the 1113 because it doesn't matter anyway.
