question re: domicile reserve time

I live in the pacific northwest and hope, perhaps beyond reason, to stay in the area as I move into an aviation career (I won't bore anyone with the details). I'm still training and working full time at career #1, anticipating that I should have enough experience (via CFI and local gigs) to meet regional minimums (specifically Skywest or Horizon) in the 1H of 2007.

My question is as follows:
If for example, I was lucky enough to land a job with Skywest, and was subsequenlty assigned DEN as my domicile; given their reserve requirements (I think their website says something like 1-3 years) is commuting from PDX to DEN even an option during this time? I think the answer is "no", but could really use some guidance so I can set my own expectations accordingly.

Thanks in advance for the help...much appreciated!

Commuting is always an option anywhere. However, on reserve, you must be able to make it to work within 90 minutes (at least at Skywest). So in reality, commuting while on reserve doesn't really work. Unless of course you had a crashpad at your domicile, in which case you could commute and stay at your crashpad while on reserve. I used to do this, but it is not fun :(
