Post Anyone else intervwg w/ Amer Eagle in Oct???

I got the call to interview and want to know if anyone has the Sim Packet that needs to be memorized? I googled it and didnt find anything, at least not in a PDF.

Anyone in the Sacramento region that got called?

Welcome to APC,

You'll probably find more info in this thread in the Regional Airline section.

Yes

Visibility 1/8th, no takeoff alternate, coffee maker deferred. Tell the IP you are not flying. Done ... passed ... good job.

Considering the AMR/Eagle situation, interviewing is a triumph of hope over knowledge. Any option, short of drug pushing, has to be better.

Isn't drug pushing a multi billion dollar business?? To have a piece of that versus 25k first year FO pay flying at least 10x more... Hmmm

You live in the Sacramento area? Did you apply to SKW?

No need to memorize the sim packet really. Use the "pilot monitoring" make him do about everything besides fly the plane. Technical know your jepps basic regs. HR is a breeze. There's some good gouges out there from when we were hiring.

Oh, don't worry about that. Bankruptcy just means AMR legally gets to screw over its lendors and employees. Has nothing to do with staffing needs.

As far as job protection, we will have an awesome new furlough protection plan in place. It protects like, 66% of all the pilots. So as long as the top third leave, you'll be safe! Hahahahaha. Oh, but that doesn't really have any value if AA merges...

In all seriousness, though. Don't worry about what is happening here, so much as what is happening at AA. That's AE life line. There is no other indicator more important than that when it comes to job security or movement for us.
