Skywest pilots take another paycut

I found out today that Skywest has began flying the CRJ-900, while paying pilots at the 50 seat CRJ rate!?! I know Skywest does not have a union, but it seems like something this drastic would call for some action from the pilots. Their company is doing great, and yet their pilots took another paycut (the first paycut was when Skywest got 70 seaters).

Am I wrong, or are Skywest pilots activley negotiating CRJ-700/900 rates??

They are being actively negotiated. It's too much of a sore spot to leave unresolved.

BTW, SKY pays me more to fly a 50 seater than mesa paid me to fly the 900...

Also, the SKW 900's have about 76 seats.

Um... er... don't ask him for details. As FO, of course. Don't interfere with his axe-grinding. :D

The beauty of ax-grinding re. mesa: All you have to do to slam mesa is tell the truth! :D

This is the direct byproduct of being a no union shop. Sorry, but is the truth. Skywest is a good company, but management is having their way and there really is nothing anybody can do to change that.

76 seats or not, it still is a CRJ 900 with potential to be changed to a 90 seater just like mesa did with america west express.

It's actually 82 seats mr. dirty sanchez ERJ145XR First Officer dude. AND it comes with two sets of wooden planks! Did you factor THAT into our compensation!?!?

I like Skywest. It is a good regional. But they need to have an increased pay rate for the CRJ-700/900. Glad to hear it is being negotiated!!
