PCL TA Reached. all 200's gone

Another possible flaw with this: if delta interviews and rejects 12 of our guys, they are still pinnacle captains, that's 12 less upgrades at pinnacle. You get where I'm going with this: if you don't upgrade you don't get the interview /.

12 or 1/3 per month, whichever is lower through 2016. So basically a max of 12, could be less. Then 15 in 2017 and 20 in 2018 and beyond.
12 9E pilots x 12 months =144 x 4 years = 576
15 x 12 = 180 in 2017
20 x 12 = 240 a year x 5 years = 1200
Max hiring at delta over the next 10 years for 9E pilots under the bridge agreement:
576 + 180 + 1200 = 1956 pilots.
The problem with this is we have 2300 pilots and this is the absolute maximum possible hired.
If delta does not hire one month numbers go down. If 1/3 of the new hires in a month is less than 12, 15, or 20, given the year, then numbers go down.
We have heard delta will not hire in 2013. That reduces this number by 144 right off the bat. If they only hire 15 in a month in 2014 only 5 pinnacle pilots would be hired those months.
Delta has 3600 mandatory retirements in the next 10 years. 9E pilots will be restricted to a lot less than 1/3 of that because of the low hiring or no hiring months.

there is a lot more to add, i'm not a fan of this ta but....
-100 mesaba pilots not in that number, they are additional
-this is three to four times the rate of pinnacle pilots that were hired in 0708,10 without pref treatment
-the numbers of pilots that get passed over for hire don't count in the numbers that have to come over, which will be substantial in the higher seniority numbers. this will get to junior guys much much faster than a flow would ever

Golden Handcuffs ... poison pill
Trying to understand the "why" of this agreement. This jumped out at me.
-----------
1. C. iii
The commitments in Section 1.a-b cease to be available six months after the amenable date of the new restructured Pinnacle pilot collective bargaining agreement ....
-----------
So, don't you dare try to recover from your concessionary pay rates. If you do, your scope section which binds Delta vanishes.
Is this nothing more than ALPA locking in low cost outsourcing?

This will only benifit Mesaba pilots and this is why. You have to be a captain to get the interview. Mesaba pilots are entitled to. 279 900 spots. Pinnacle is entitled to 95 spots, colgan is entitled to nothing. At 7 crews per plane there will be roughly 567 captains. That ratio will continue to exist for 4 more years. When mesabas 108 flow, they will be replaced with 108 Mesaba fos. While colgan and pinnacle displace. It will b challenging for colgan and pinnacle to gain their captain spots back because of this quota. And then once you upgrade you need a year in seat Even if you have already been a captain before/. I'm not knocking Mesaba pilots I'm just simply stating some facts feel free to correct me if I'm wrong

Like I said before, you seem to have the passion and I truly think you will succeed in your career as long as you stay positive, be diligent and don't "become" a help-less victim. Just remember, no-one is safe in this industry. Having back-ups are a good thing. The sooner you can manage that, the brighter the future.

It is a flat ratio, if you lose 16 900's you lose:
XJ - 78
9E - 27 spots
The question I don't know the answer about the Bloch award is what happens to the ratios with additional airframes added after the award.
