Expresset Checkride :(

Ok everybody I passed my checkride :) Wasn't my best flying, but good enough :) My sim partner busted on his single engine ILS :(

freezingflyboy 11-16-2006 02:51 PM

Baronpilot 11-16-2006 02:52 PM

No biggy. They usually just make you do to the parts you messed up on.

What happened to CRM and helping each other out with some creative calls like, "HEADING", "POWER," "POSITIVE RATE..."

That is too bad be/she busted. It is no fun to be in that situation. I always feel bad as a crew member in those situations like there might have been something else I could have/should have done to save whatever it was.

GOod work Saab...so you were based in ABE not too long ago? I know quite a few people there right now...

what did he to do to bust the single engine ils? was it the missed approach? normally you can use the autopilot for a single engine ils, correct?

Laxrox43 11-16-2006 04:41 PM

Not in the ERJ, unfortunately. Congrats SAAB! IOE should be pretty fun, since you've done the airline thing before. I had a blast on mine. See you out there. :)

JoeyMeatballs 11-16-2006 05:14 PM

nah no coupled single engine ILS, He brok out was slightly left of RWY then did some unstable manuevering to get back then pounded it on the RWY "according to the DE anyway" a few other altitude deviations on his MAP I thought he did well, but I wasnt giving the ride so.....................

P.S. Hanger 7 is awesome especially when you get a coutsey van to gregories, good burgers :)

Laxrox43 11-16-2006 05:41 PM

SAAB - Hanger 7 rocks! Lots of buds who work there - in MX and Ramp Rats.

LivinTheDream - I mostly fly with people who have their own planes...twins mostly. Do instrument/multi stuff with them. I have also done a little bit of work with a guy that keeps his plane in Hangar 10.

Nothin' too fancy...that's for sure :p
