Is Mike Huffman doing pilot taxes this year?
 

Or are there any recommendations if he's not?

Turbo Tax is doing them.

I've used Brian Pryzstup for the last 9 years and I couldn't be happier. I generally end up with a fat refund.

I just got off first year pay at my first regional job. made just under 30k. basically all of 2012 was me working there. should i use one of these aviation accountants or should i just use turbo tax? obviously using one of these CPA's is going to be more expensive just not sure if it would be worth it.

Haha. I went to this guys website. No way is this guy doing my taxes. If only the refund was based on "toolish" website pics would I know my refund would be huge.

I've been using this guy for the last 4 years and have gotten really good returns. He's located in Southaven, MS. Huffman is an idiot and if you get audited you will be screwed.

Website design aside, I've been happy with the services provided. He's helped me with a business return once and my personal returns every year. I generally end up paying 3-6% in taxes every year after he completes everything and you are charged based on the complexity of the return and what you made. I think he charged me $50 when I was a first year regional FO. The highest I was charged was $250.

I added the bold because I can not agree more. I have been using this firm for 4 years and have been very happy with the results. While at Pinnacle, I used the per diem service that he offers as well. He showed me the before and after, and I believe it made about an $800 swing in my refund.

Get in touch with them and they will send you a Fed Ex label. Mail off your stuff and they file for you. There isn't even a need to go to the office.

I used Huffman once a few years back. Honestly, it scared the beejesus out of me. It was 9 am, and the guy was already on the sauce....and doing shots as he did my taxes.

Watching him do my taxes and based on the return I got using him, I get about the same with TurboTax anyway. Plus, I don't have his name and the bullseye attached to my return.
