Go! as bad as GoJets

Alright I'm a little confused. Go! I understand is an entity of Mesa in hawaii that pays its pilots crap and the natives in Hawaii along with Aloha and Hawaiian are all ****ed at them for various reasons. My question I have is that is Go! considered just as much of a scab of the industry as GoJets? I get the two mixed up sometimes I guess.

JoeyMeatballs 11-19-2006 11:45 AM

Only to the people who live in Hawaii.

Gojet pilots makes more $ so Go! is definitely worst.

Go! is not a completely separate entity from Mesa (as is GoJets from TSA) - same pilot group/same union. No scabs there!

Shaner77 11-19-2006 02:47 PM

GoJet is just a scab operation spawned off of Trans States, while Go! is another undercutting BS operation of Mesa's. They both suck. Neither should be allowed to jumpseat on any other airline.

Actually most Hawaiins love Go! because of the fare war it has instigated. They believe that Hawaiin and Aloha had been overcharging them for decades (probably true). Like airline pax everywhere, hawaiians only care about one thing...the cheapest fare on the internet.

The Hawaiins that work for the local airlines do not like Go! at all, and are the ones generating the publicity.

Go! is mesa airlines... same planes, certificate, pilots, pay, and seniority list. Mesa is crap, but it is not in the same league as gojets, where pilots intentionally sign up to screw their fellow TSA pilots. The old Freedom airlines was mesa's version of gojets, but it has been dissolved. The new freedom is part of mesa air group, same pilots, pay, seniority.

Fortunately for them, you don't get to make that decision yet.

Actually Durbin, I do. And I have.

Ya must think I'm really a Flight Engineer on a Piper Warrior. Sorry to break it to ya, brotha!

Actually your info is a bit off.

At Go! 1st year FO will be gaurenteed $20748

At GoJet 1st FO is Guarenteed $19320

2nd year is even worse with the Mesa scum making $25,480

and the BLOjet'er making a horrific $21,000

You're forgetting Mesa works on a 28 day bid so there are 13 bids in a year not 12.

GoJet is by far a inferior operation compared to Mesa.

150 pilots vs. 2000 one aircraft type, no where to go in the company, very few bases. And the pilots were contract busters, not that the original freedom guys did not do the same thing.

This is actually why the Mesa contract sucks so bad, and was a terrific history lesson the tailpipes over at TSA who crossed the line should of learned. When the company offers you a chance to move up by screwing your brothers you will all take it in the end period! Don't do it.

God, that's awful...trying to visualize something worse than mesa strains my imagination. Oh, well the gojetters deserve it...

"Jumpseat agreement"?? What the ****** are you talking about? Any 121 company has the opportunity to request a jumpseat on my aircraft. The great thing is, I get to say HELL NO whenever I choose. Did it twice last week to two different Mesa affiliated pilots, and I'll keep doin' it until I retire.

Choose to work for a terrible company that does nothing but weaken the industry AND the pilot profession, and you'll pay for it your whole career. That's a fact.

Yea...you can go ahead and deny me a jumpseat. This becomes a case of you losing and me not winning.

I believe that the jumpseat is a gift given by a Captain....If I don't get it than I just move over to mainline the next flight. It may delay me getting home a few hours but I knew it would be a long shot to get on your flight.

Now that you have denied me....I will in turn deny you and everyone from your company....Most of you think that the jumpseat is a right of yours , if it is open. Now you will sit and stew for a few hours trying to catch the next ride. You can keep denying me your jumpseat. It wont upset me....It wont stop me from getting home or to work...It wont stop me from getting my PIC.

How many routes and aircraft do you have? You can add can't you? Or maybe you can't since you went to work flying 70 seaters for 50 seat pay.

Go ahead. I'd rather walk than jumpseat on GoJets. I hope you are ready to do the same.

Oooops.Wrong quote.

I don't work for mesa. But why don't you tell me which airline you work for and your approximate DOH...so I can start denying jumpseats to anyone who might be you...

It does appear to be true that mesa captains are having a harder time getting hired by majors, for whatever reason.

Wow. That may be bad karma. I'm sure that many mainline pilots have a bit of contempt for "regional" pilots, yet I hardly see RJ drivers denied a seat. It must make you feel good to have such power as to deny a guy a ride home.

I'm flying home for the holidays. I'll be looking for Mesa pilots carrying their beds with them in the terminal. Sad...
