New F9 Boarding Priority
Thank you to the IBT in diligently pursuing the implementation of this arbitrated award - it only took 1 year, 7 months, I guess that's still better than the Mediation time frame.
Changes to Frontier-branded travel privileges Wednesday February 19, 2013 09:48 In Dec. 2010, Republic Airways Holdings employees were added to Frontier’s branded travel privileges and from that date active employees, including eligibles and companions of all four certificates (Frontier, Shuttle, Republic, and Chautauqua) have been travelling by date of hire in the travel code SA3P. Retired employees of these four certificates, including eligibles and companions, have been traveling as SA3R. As a result of arbitration between the Frontier Airlines Pilots Association and Frontier Airlines, Frontier was directed by the arbitrator to restore the Frontier pilots to their travel priority as of Dec. 31, 2009 (prior to the addition of Shuttle, Republic and Chautauqua employees). As part of the separation process and due to the technological and programming difficulties of only restoring the priority of the Frontier pilots, as opposed to all Frontier employees, it was determined that effective March 6, 2013, the following priority codes will apply for all Frontier-branded travel: Priority - SA3P Eligible - F9 Active Employee, Eligibles, Companions, Buddy when traveling with employee Board By - DOH Priority - SA3R Eligible - F9 Retired Employee, Eligibles, Companions, Buddy when traveling with employee Board by - Date of Hire Priority - SA4P Eligible - F9 Active Employee Buddy Board By - Check in time Priority - SA5P Eligible - F9 Retired Employee Buddy Board By - Check in time Priority - SA5Q Eligible - RJET Active Employee, Eligibles, Companions, Buddy when traveling with employee Board By - Date of Hire Priority - SA5R Eligible - RJET Retired Employee, Eligibles, Companions, Buddy when traveling with employee Board By - Date of Hire Priority - SA5X Eligible - RJET Active/Retired Buddy traveling without employee Board By - Check in time Priority - SA6R Eligible - Retired Midwest Employee, Eligibles, Companions Board By - Date of Hire |
Statement One — “That arbitration was heard before the IBT was voted in. It is only now they have been able to implement it.”
When you say, “It is only now THEY have been able to implement it.” do you mean the IBT or RAH or both? Statement Two — “This is not cool. A whole bunch of us depend on our F9 benefits to comute to work. Behind retiree buddy passes, wt_. This is a bunch of crap!!! What can we do to fight this?” When you say, “What can we do to fight this?” are you saying that IBT 357 should have not pushed RAH to implement the arbitrated decision, or that IBT 357 should have attempted to overturn the decision? |
??
Frontier? They still flying? Is that the heavy airbus operator out of Denver? |
Sounds good to me. Except for the retirees part, but oh well. I'm curious why F9 didn't get privileges per their CBA, which would include all the RAH privileges.
Or did they attempt to redefine "company" to include the F9 operation only? I guess that might be why those Christmas bonuses went so well. |
Did anyone catch the animals are smarter than statement in the news today ?

I think two (2) of the Frontier pilots wanted the RAH Christmas bonus, the rest just didn't care. |
sorry to take this in a different direction, but is F9 really opening TTN as a focus city? Hows it going so far?
It didnt work for Eastwind or Shuttle America... I hope you guys can make a run of it... was that a Bedford idea or F9? |

Does IBT 357 have more of a responsibility to represent the pilots negatively affected by the Non-Rev arbitration (“native RAH’ers) than they do to represent those pilots who “overwhelmingly” voted for IBT representation (Lynx, Midwest and Frontier)? (IBT press release — Republic Pilots Vote To Join Teamsters | International Brotherhood of Teamsters (IBT))
How exactly can IBT fund the Midwest arbitration that will give positions to Midwest pilots, including upgrades, which cost their native RAH’ers those positions — with the “native” RAH”ers dues and assessments? How many Midwest pilots work at CHQ, S5, RP or even F9? How many Midwest pilots have gone to RAH and left the moment they were current? How can IBT 357 grieve issues that benefit their “native” pilots and cost the Lynx pilots? 357 represents the Lynx pilots also. How can IBT 357 enforce an arbitration award in favor of the Frontier pilots that causes harm to all others they represent? How can 357 NOT enforce an arbitration award when they forced their “representation” on all parties? Before the “transaction”, 90% of “native” RAH’ers HATED the IBT. They developed Stockholm Syndrome and felt they had to fight for their ugly, dishonest, incestuous sister and kept IBT. IBT National displayed an extremely shortsighted view when they did a hostile take-over of all unions/carriers involved. They actually had their chance to step back and think for a moment, but the moment lasted too long and they lost their focus (as in 7 to 10 days). You’re seeing that lack of focus, lack of basic intellect and completely unrealistic expectations in your negotiations. Did BB show in DCA? I’m betting not. Really, people, the IBT may have played a small role in Labor relations in America at one time. Hoffa Sr. was a crook, Hoffa Jr. is no better, CM can barely form a sentence, written or spoken. Your NC Chair brought you the last contract, there’s no way the priority should have been these 4 articles and if you believe CM that you will “get another bite at the apple” in amalgamation you need to take a LOA for mental health reasons. Your Union lied to you. There has been no disruption of trash service, no Fuelers refusing to fuel your aircraft, no ATC that won’t issue you a clearance. They have played you masterfully, collected your dues, gave you 15 seconds in LAS and abandoned you. In addition, out of approximately 2,300 “native” RAH pilots only seven stepped forward to run your EBoard. What are the odds that these seven (now 6) were even remotely the most qualified? Most interesting: If the arbitration was heard before the IBT was voted in and the IBT had a legal obligation to enforce/implement the award, then what is the difference between the Non-Rev arbitration and LOA 67 that was ratified before the IBT was voted in?
