Anyone know of any good hotels close to the strip that offer Crew discounts? Thanks

Just paid $29 for Excalibur without a discount. I would say Vegas crew discounts don't matter, it's so cheap everywhere. I am going to ask for an upgrade though with the $20 tip trick ;)

I recently did two nights during the middle of the week at Harrah's, right on the Strip. Cost: $22.00 per night. I booked it on their website. Watch out for "resort fees". A lot of the big flashy places tack this on to the price of the room. I don't know what its for but it effectively doubled the price of a lot of the rooms I was shopping. Harrah's charges no such fee and has free parking. For reference, its directly across Las Vegas Boulevard from Caesar's Palace and next door to the Venetian.

i know a lot of crews stay at the westin on flamingo.

if your trying to go cheap like I always do in Vegas check out terribles.. cheap rooms, short walk to the strip, nice pool, and the only place I know that has an airport shuttle!

If you want cheap - stay at the Super 8 (the Ocho!) next to Ellis Island. Crew rate is about 30 bucks, and there's an airport shuttle. Walking distance to the strip.

it's not the cheapest, but the newly remodeled Flamingo (across the street from Mandalay Bay) isn't a bad option. It's very close to the airport. Stay in the front tower. Very nice rooms for under a C-note. Not too hard to sneak into the pool at Mandalay.

I'm guessing you meant to say the newly remodeled Tropicana? The Flamingo is not walking distance to Mandalay Bay. What's your trick to sneaking in to the Mandalay Pool? I used to have a key card that got me in there. Otherwise it seemed pretty difficult to get in there.

Yes I meant the Tropicana! Sorry about that. Pool access varied from room key from soon to be departing guest, $10.00 chip (this from a co-worker), friendly bartender, toe in the door, etc.

La Quinta Airport South

Its brand new, and they have free shuttle service from the airport to the hotel and to the strip as well. I have stayed there for 59. Its a great hotel, but it sounds like you can find cheaper in Vegas
