I've interviewed at multiple regionals with multiple job offers. They are all taking the most qualified candidates without regard to who will be picked up by the majors first. I had my 737 type at the top of my résumé, and am proud of it.

To the regional airline, it meant that I have been filtered and signed off by the Feds, and they don't have to worry about the new rule coming down range with regard to me.

Many small airlines who fly 737s won't even interview you unless you have the type. Too many washouts. Regionals don't care, as an FO, your just a seat warmer anyways.

"seat warmer" Is that what you really think of the position? How much PIC turbine in a 121 environment do you have? I'm betting zero.

I don't view the pilots I fly with as "seat warmers".

I got hired at XJT with A320 time and the type, not an issue at all.

Where were you before that you managed to get that?

Flying in the UK for an airline that's no longer in business.
