No! I don't have any skeletons tucked in the closet. I have been informed by Eagle they won't extend an invitation for future interview even after 6 month wait. I have just become re-elgible to apply for XJT again last week! I did do that and they were sincere I feel to have me back 3 month later which is now! Do plan on re-applying for Mesa Airlines in late DEC. 06. My logbook stats are at 1353TT and stil CFI-SE and get enough MEL time to stay current. Been told by Lori that Capt. tod upon his return next week will review my documents and will go from their. All I ask is the chance and feel that I have refined my skills and spent more money then any of you all together to get to this point.

Safe assumption in my case (thank you taxpayers!)... make sure you have a good answer to "where else have you interviewed". You WILL get asked.

I have been asked that already couple of times.

Why would eagle tell you that? Where are you falling apart during these interviews, the tech or HR, sim?

Do you have a lot of failed checkrides?

I applied on airlineapps about 3 weeks ago on a Wedneday at 4pm and got an interview email at 1pm on Thursday. I guess I was lucky too...interview is scheduled for Dec. 7th. One question for anyone who has already had the interview...I am filling out the application Comair sent me and am trying to figure out what F/W means next to multi-engine time. Can anyone help me out?

Fixed Wing... as opposed to R/W or Rotary Wing.

I think a quick poll on the regional board will turn up several folks who jumped at the first part 121 offer they had and ended up switching between regionals within a year.

Next, remember they are a big company, over 1550 pilots, and although they are hiring many, unless you are the former CP of Cathay Pacific or similar, wait in line. They'll get to you.

Oh, yeah...relax.

This i the single best advice I have ever read on here, I jumped at Colgan knowning full weel that i was not going to stay there, however when i was applying here (XJT) I was a CFI and competing with Independance Air guys so I knew I didnt have a chance in hell so I feel I made the right decision to get some 121 time rather than wait around, and I am glad i got the T-prop experience :)

Thanks spongebob, I appreciate the help...have you started training yet at Comair?

Spongebob 12-01-2006 08:02 AM

SAAB, I was speaking more the guys who unknowingly go to Mesa, etc. Heck, I interviewed at Eagle with a Mesa dude who was sitting reserve but never flying. I think you made the right choice, but you had a plan. That's key to success.

LFB - Thanks for the comment. I like trying to arm you guys as best as I can for the future! I was offered a Jan start date (I'm not out of the military officially until Dec 31st) but I took a consulting job instead. Salary starts at 4.3 times first year CMR pay so it was an easy choice :D Laurie told me to give her a call if things change....

Good Luck...good group of folks there, just their parent is screwed up at the moment.
