MDW-DTW Commute
anybody here do it? Looks like lots of flights between delta and southwest? looks pretty easy, but looking for insight for anybody who actually does it, i'm considering a move
Thanks! |
I have several friends who commute from Chicago (either ORD or MDW) to DTW and none of them seem to have problems. Lots of flights at both airports, and you can take the El to whichever airport looks better.

DTW-ORD is a nightmare. Yes, lot's of flights, but they are almost always full, with lot's of commuters between Delta, United, Spirit, ExpressJet, Skywest and every other DCI carrier. Now, MDW might be a different story. Might be ok with Southwest.

If the weather goes south in MDW, the 200 is restricted pretty heavily. Just something to think about for the winter months. I'm not sure how much the 200 goes in and out of there anymore, but during the winter we rarely get a full boat if it is snowing or the runway is less than perfect.
