Chautauqua training
Got a oct. 23 class date at CHQ, looking for advice from people in training or on property about what to expect for training. I've gotten mixed answers from recruiting so far as to where systems training happens: i've heard SDF and STL. Also wanting to know what bases are going junior these days and how much movement is actually happening there compared to the rest of the RAH certs/types.

Indoc @ IND
1 night of training on aircraft @ SDF Systems/Sim @ STL |

Thanks, recruiting mentioned something about hands on in SDF but then the offer email said STL.

Why fly a 145 when you could hold out for a 170??? If you can't hire on at Mesa then you should be able to secure full time employment at SkyWest. If those don't work out, then.....Republic, Compass, etc...

Welcome to the circus..I hope you enjoy all your paycheck going to your health insurance.

I don't know what I look forward to more: the doom and gloom or the people talking about it.

As soon as your company's plan contract comes to term you'll see increases as well. I'd advise you to complain to your Congressman...but you know the joke in that suggestion. |
Healthcare has been a great way for management to stick it to their employees at RAH for 8 or 9 years now... Obamacare didnt change a thing.

So bitterness aside, any chance of some helpful information on where new hires are going?

Healthcare at republic started going up a long time before the black guy got elected to the White House twice

It was either chq 145 or the Q400, which has been going through bad cancellation issues. I'm from the midwest and looking for minimal location so RAH won out over mesa and skywest.
Soooo..... Republic to go on strike? Give the COO a good boot out the front door? Replace all of upper mgmt since most of the pilots all said uppers couldn't handle an airline? |

You are a molecule of air going through engine. What happens? They don't like when you chose to go through the bypass. How does your pack operate and again explain a molecule of air through the pack system. Still a zillion memory items and limitations. Good luck! |

You are a molecule of air going through engine. Good luck! If so, that is pretty rough! |
Best advice. Go somewhere else.
|
consider then any molecule which is a part of the heterogeneous mixture of gases in the atmosphere that the entire scientific community calls air

Just curious, but is this actually intended as a trick question? (given that there is no such thing as a molecule of air)

And they want to know if you know what is involved with a heat exchanger and all that crap.. Just stupid little thing to cooperate and graduate. |
CHQ classes?
This just in: oct. 23 chq class suspended. Got offered 24th on shuttle instead. didn't say way the hold on chq, but that was quite the heart attack considering my last day at the old job is today and there was quite a pause on the phone between the bad news and better news.
|
Did they hint at a CHQ class in the near future or did they simply say, we only have a shuttle class on the 24th?
