Eagle increasing number of uncommutable trips
This was happening increasingly in Miami over spring and summer, and it got better for a month or two. But now it seems to be increasing again and now spreading to the other bases, with the excuse being FTDT rules. Most trips are starting earlier than 7am and ending after 8 or 9pm.
I'm curious if any other regionals are experiencing this yet.

It is not ftdt, it is management stupidity, simple as that.
They don't give a rats *** about your commute, just as I don't care if the flight leaves on time, not my job. When everyone has done there jobs then we push.
When morning hub flight start canceling and junior manning increase then there crap will hit the fan just in time for the holidays. Then they try to get you to feel sorry for the passengers, you know the ones that won't pay a high price ticket so they come to you for pay cuts. This thanksgiving and Christmas is going to be fun.

Ridiculous....
Say that to someone who works at republic.
Or maybe to the Eagle pilots who were based in LA until like 8 months ago.
We all know that regionals open and close bases on a whim...get real.

Eagle increasing number of un commutable trip
Dang, I only saw the first part of the title of this thread to "number of..." I was hoping it would say flow throughs haha
But yeah, I'm laying in a crash pad right now because of the lack of commutability and the willingness of crew sched to let us trade trips

Just flow through to AA MIA 757/767 domestic. Junior bid is MIA (LAS/LAX/SFO/SEA) MIA. Commutable trip leaves early evening day 1, arriving near midnight, ~ 24 hr layover, then red eye to MIA, arriving about daylight in MIA on day 3. Pays 10 hrs (2 duty periods). It's really a 21 day line with max 2 consecutive days off. These lines stink even if you live local and they routinely go above some reserve lines.

If I'm not mistaken, controllers have something called "locality pay", where you're given some extra cash based on where you work. I don't see why airlines can't do the same.
