AE 824's about to be shafted again.

Here we go again,L- AE 824's pilots with the opportunity to flow to mainline, are now required to take a pilot skills test prior to employment.

Its ok, it only took 13yrs for the last AE with AA seniority to flow…. But hey, lots of movement at L-AE with tons of upgrades soon!!!!!

Thats not the point. The agreement is with NO Interview, NO medical.
It should be a smooth transfer. Way different than a street hire.

So again, you take a something from EL and to APC and spin it to scare people. The 824 arbitration settlement is clear, they can offer all the test they want but they can't turn someone down. Post the language of the 824 LOA and the letter that AA sent to the flow guys.

824 LOA, 5.f

"Interview - Eagle pilots who are offered pilot employment at AA under the provisions of this Letter will not be required to undergo any portion of an employment interview at AA.

The union is seeking clarification from management, the language is clear, even if there is a grievance it will be reviewed in an expedited process and they are already meeting with management and the arbitrator before Thanksgiving.

Nobody cares. If your getting screwed then quit don't whine.

bretthull 11-10-2013 08:02 AM

Can we close this thread? We really don't need another one of RJ's 824 diatribes.

Or just about any of his usual threads. I want to start some rumors over at EL just to watch him spin it over here.

Seconded. Remember RJ Pilot, truck drivers only get paid by the hour they drive. Less time trolling, more time trucking

sf340b 11-10-2013 03:34 PM

I tried to be a truck driver. Got rejected so now I fly for the regionals.

Oh well. More switches anyway.

buddies8 11-10-2013 04:40 PM

Shaft the 824 just like they tried to shaft the numbered pilots. No sympathy, live the dream, one back stab deserves another.

Just received official word from the union that this is completely FALSE. The talked about "pilot skills test" is NOT required.

Nice try again RJ Pilot. Maybe now will you focus on driving your trucks as opposed to posting blatantly incorrect things on message boards?

At least you were right about one thing - the upgrades are starting!

lolwut 11-16-2013 08:07 AM

Sure is a lot of complaining going on from a bunch of pilots being offered a job they don't even deserve.

Don't shoot me for asking as I am on the outside, but why don't they deserve them. Isn't this part of the flow that was established ages ago between AA and AE? I must be missing something, it seems to me that these guys deserve this more than any street hire as they have been working for AA on the B-scale all this time.

Nothing will change. He will continue to troll and the mods will continue to let him.

So who does deserve it. The 824 are all gonna be pre 9/11 hires with 10000 plus hrs. Years as a CA, and everyone at least displaced once. So the 3 yr guy at republic with. 8 months as captain is more qualified. I'd like to know who here thinks the 824 are not entitled to positions they negotiated for .

This is beyond negotiations, the 824 is a grievance award for the flow back, when new hire FO at AA came to AE as Captains displacing many and occupying CA spots that AE pilots couldn't occupy. People at AA-TWA and AE got screwed by the whole ordeal. Outsiders need to stop *****ing as they weren't affected by this and quit complaining about AE pilots taking new hire slots. I am certain those folks are not complaining about the TWA guys who were stapled either.

I don't see guys complaining about compass, pinnacle or PSA! But everyone loves to bash on the 824.

hockeypilot44 11-16-2013 03:46 PM

I don't like the idea of negotiating for a job.

I don't think anyone on Earth DESERVES anything, including you.

Does a small baby deserve to have a fatal heart defect? Does a 10 year-old deserve Type I Diabetes? Does an innocent man deserve the Death Penalty? Do the victims of the hurricane in the Phillipines deserve it? Did the Holocaust victims deserve it?

On Earth, you get what you get. If you don't like what you get, you can try and change your situation for the better...with no guarantees that you will be able to change your situation!

The Eagle guys that are flowing up were hired at a company that made a deal with their parent company for the flow up...their situation gave them the flow up, much like a child born in the US gets a US passport. Their situation is better than some people's...and worse than others.

If you spend your life being upset because others get something you don't consider "fair"...you are in for a long (hopefully?) and bitter struggle as you spend your time on Earth.

God Bless...and Namaste
