XJT and AE pilots must work together.
Between ExpressJet and American Eagle we are nearly 8,000 pilots strong, that is over half of the regional airline pilots in America.
At the moment both pilot groups are being fed scare tactics and lies in order to do our jobs for less and increase earnings and income for management and shareholders. We all need to make a stand and say NO. They cannot replace 8,000 pilots, the country would suffer immensely if we were to shut down. We have the leverage, the ball is very much in our court. All 8,000 of us need to come together and send a very clear message. |
"Lets roll!!"

Tell 'em where to stick it. Seems RAH mgmt has found a new urgency to secure a new contract and is meeting multiple times a month. Hold firm on your end and we'll do our part to raise the bar. |
You guys can do this. Finally, you have the upper hand IN NUMBERS. PSA has a crap contract but they represent a small fraction of the work group. Take charge and vote this garbage DOWN!

+1 Time to stand strong.

This attack on wages could have long reaching consequences. Why stop here. Next thing we know they will be going after mainline wages...why? Because the regional pukes will do the same for less. The big picture is that the airlines are making money. Share the fruit of OUR labor. They are running around trying to trim the wrong fat. BUT if they are successful, you only have yourself to blame. Spread the word.
IF your union hasn't done its part to make informational signage or stickers to get the word out, then you are already behind the 8 ball. Grassroots effort to educate those that do not troll these message boards. Education is key. I have already seen stickers around the crew room that we share with Mesa in ORD...NEW JETS NEW CONTRACT. Well???? We are ALL under attack here. OUR way of life and income are under ATTACK!!! SO educate and get the word out. If we all must stay NO..."Live together or DIE alone"... My vote is NO for a crap TA at RAH.... |
The more regionals take cuts, the worse off the regional pilot profession becomes. But the bigger the divide between major and regional pay becomes, the more pressure turns to the majors to take cuts as well. Only collectively can we reverse the trend and close the gap that exists within our profession. Stand together and say no; if you plan on staying and especially if you plan on moving on.

Apparently alpa national didn't believe this. They blessed the pos contract that psa got. What was moak's logic behind that? He seems to think lining the majors pockets will result in more money for mainline pilots to negotiate. I wish he would consider that paying regional pilots more would put pressure on the majors to finally put some regional flying back at the majors.

VOTE NO!! The majors are making more money than they know what to do with. We help them earn that money, lets get some of it back in return.
|
Moak isn't thinking long term. If you are at a regional and under forty, this is your career! Fight for it because a yes vote will effect your future. This effects regionals, majors, corporate.
Shiny new jets are cool. You can brag to your friends that you fly a big jet, but what would they say if you told them what you earned to fly that cool new big jet? After you first leg, when you fart in your shiny new slave ship seat making 20 bucks an hour, it won't seem so shiny and cool anymore. |
