Which regional to go for DFW base

I'm a furloughed pilot from a fairly decent airline, been out of work for a while, but can't seem to find a flying job. I have plenty of 121 pic time, (but all in the B727), I've applied at all the majors and legacies, but no luck whatsoever. I live in the DFW area, and obviously I'd commute for a Legacy, but I'm unable and unwilling to commute for a regional.
I've never had to fly for the regionals, but several of them have DFW domiciles. From my research, the only commuters/regionals/majors that base pilots in DFW are ExpressJet and American Eagle.
What are the chances that, if hired at one of these airlines, I'll be based in DFW? Again, I can't afford to commute, as a newhire on an RJ making $20 something an hour, it doesn't work for me.

If you're considering Eagle I would take a look at the other threads going on before you apply. Things are going from bad to much worse at Eagle and seemingly on a daily basis these days.

Take the time to read the few pages going on concerning Eagle and make your own decision.

SkyWest then Expressjet.

No regional will hire you. Overqualified.

Southwest Airlines, the true regional

Why SKW? They don't have a DFW base or am I missing something?

Skywest doesn't have a DFW base. Eagle and XJT are the only two with one I think? Skywest has an IAH base that's relatively junior.

I am a dfw based ca with XJT. Our base is very small (roughly 70 fo's and 70 ca's). It is a very senior base on the ca side but very jr on the FO side. I don't think it would be very difficult to get dfw as a new hire. If you we're not awarded it in training, you could probably do a base swap at some point with another fo wanting out.

That being said, we are voting on a concessionary TA and our management has said that if it does not pass that it will be years before we have another TA to vote on. We have be threatened that if the TA fails, leases will not be renewed on our aircraft and that we will not be bidding on new rfp's to replace expiring contracts. So it may not be the best time to come to XJT.

Hope that helps some.
