You won't say that if you commute...12 months on the line and the damn thing will be falling apart.

You've heard it before, now listen and hear it again. COSTCO.

I'm starting to think that you don't really exist.

I have heard some guys say that with a travel pro, you get what you pay for. And if you forked out that kind of money, it'll probably last a while.

Now the question is, where is the nearest TravelPro repair shop to where you live? With a PNT bag, just call them up, they send you a loaner, you mail them yours in the same box the loaner came in. When it's done, they mail you your bag, you put the loaner in the box, and voila, fixed bag with very little inconvience to you.

I've heard that with a TP, it's not quites as painless when it breaks. And it will break.

I found that everything but purdy-neat falls apart in a matter of months if you commute...the rampers will throw it, and when it lands on the wheels, that's it.

Even with warranty, I got sick of all the visits to the repair shop.

If you don't commute, and never have to surrender your bag to the loving caresses of the ramp-apes, you might get away with an el-cheapo unit.

My travel pro lasted 2 years of 121 line flying (non-commuter). My PNT bag has lasted 6 years of flying (3 yrs post 9/11 part 121 and 2 part 91 corporate). I would buy another PNT in a heartbeat (but I don't need to... mine still looks as good as new except for 1 or 2 bent zipper pulls, a few scratches and a missing screw or two from the frame.) And if I stopped by a stopover store in IAH, MSP, or DTW, they'd replace the screws for free in 5 minutes...

I had a travel pro when I first started 9E.... wouldn't fit in the overhead of a CRJ so I had to keep gate checking it.... took all of a few weeks till it was completely destroyed..... Bottom line Stealth Bag Or Bust....

Second the PNT. I have had mine since 98. The first five years it was abused as a commuter. Obviously it is a little scuffed up by now. I too often think I should get a new one, but when I look at the shape it is still in, it just doesn't make sense yet. Sometimes you don't just get what you pay for, but even more than you would have ever expected. That is PNT IMHO.

I've had my travelpro since May and it already has come apart where the zipper is sown to the bag in about a 5 inch hole, the back pocket seam is separated completely across the bottom, and two of the 6 zipper pulls have broken off. All of this within the first 4 months of ownership.

I'll never own another Travelpro POS!

Too bad you didn't buy it here, $161.00 and FREE shipping, so almost half off. Oops.

How's that saying go? A fool and his money? Something like that.

Do you always quote things you buy in full retail price? Does it make you feel like you got a good deal? You realize they put a higher price on there to make you think you are getting a bargain yet they are still ripping you off ;). My $35 bag (translated for you: retail was $220 according to TJ Maxx) has lasted over a year, which it seems is quite a bit longer than other people have had their Travelpro bags :D.
