American Eagle, soon to be envoy, should be about at the bottom of your list of places at this moment (maybe it will change in the future though...doubtful). Please take the 15 minutes or so to educate yourself about what is going on. You touched on a subject at the absolute worst moment.
Eagle/envoy is in the middle of a huge struggle that can't be over stated. If you can think of more than 1-2 good reasons to come here after you've read this forum a little more thoroughly and/or talked to some pilots that work there, then make your decision. Don't let that $5k cloud your vision or the "promise" to go to AA mainline.

It's also worth noting that many current FOs at AE have been looking for opportunities elsewhere, including lateral moves. I myself am debating an offer at Compass. If it weren't for the lack of money for a month and figuring out my own lodging during training I'd probably already be gone.

I would go ahead and take the interview. If anything else it's good experience. If you get offered the job and decide to take it, I'm sure you'll like it as long as you don't get involved with all the drama and stay off the forums... Oh and don't listen to RJ pilot, she is very depressed...

Don't listen to the recruiters. They told me I'd upgrade in 3 years, almost 3 years later and I'm still on reserve. Every airline I've interviewed at the recruiters spill nothing but BS about how new planes are just around the corner and things will be better than ever. None of them have been right.
