Crash Pad Question

Let's say you want to live at base, but "live" in a crash pad as you can't afford anything else first year pay :p. Is this acceptable to have a crash pad as a full time living arrangement, preferred you're only there on a trip, or does it just vary?

I know living in a crashpad isn't the best QOL, but gotta do what you gotta do.

Varies wildly from crashpad to crashpad. Some are ok with it, some won't even accept reservists because they don't want you there that much. I've seen it listed specifically as an option for a few places with a small additional fee.

If you're going to live full time in a crashpad, then you should consider renting an apartment and run your own crashpad by renting out the extra rooms to people looking for a crashpad. Get a few pilots to cover the cost of renting the apartment and utilities.

At least then you'll have your own stuff.

It all depends on if you're willing to deal with the extra work with running a crashpad.
