Eagle pilot pay per seat

AAG says Eagle pilots make too much money and are not competitive. Our CRJ-700s (and potential 76-seat jets) are in the seat range of half the capacity of AA Group II aircraft (which include the 737, A319/321, and MD-80). However, Eagle pilots (and all regional pilots) are paid much less than half the pay for AA pilots in Group II aircraft. How are we “overpaid” when our pay per seat flown is much lower than mainline pilots?

Half Pay for FOs of Group II aircraft (for CRJ-700, CRJ-900, and E175)

Year 1: $20
Year 2: $42
Year 3: $51
Year 4: $52
Year 5: $53
Year 6: $54
Year 7: $56
Year 8: $57
Year 9: $59
Year 10: $60
Year 11: 61
Year 12: 62

Eagle FO current pay

Year 1: $26
Year 2: $35
Year 3: $38
Year 4: $40
Year 5: $41
Year 6: $41
Year 7: $42
Year 8: $43
Year 9: $43
Year 10: $43
Year 11: $43
Year 12: $43

What AAG want to cut Eagle FO pay to

Year 1: $26
Year 2: $35
Year 3: $38
Year 4: $40
Year 5: $40
Year 6: $40
Year 7: $40
Year 8: $40
Year 9: $40
Year 10: $40
Year 11: $40
Year 12: $40

Obviously, Eagle FOs are paid much less per seat flown than AA pilots. In no way are we overpaid; we are clearly underpaid. Keep in mind, Eagle will become even cheaper relative to AA in the next several years if we vote in this horrible TA, because AA has contractual annual pay raises, while Eagle pay would have ZERO increases for the next four years. I’m only considering pay; if you consider other items such as trip/duty rigs and 401(k), Eagle pilots are even cheaper!
Don’t believe the propaganda that we are overpaid. Vote NO.

No one cares about FO pay rates - since everyone has to be an FO at some point and FO pay sucks no matter what, lets just focus on making captain pay rates better.

-What I was told by a yes voter one time. No matter that I'll probably be a 8 or 9 year FO before I ever upgrade...

Haha! Tell that yes voter that since everyone has to be an FO but not everyone will have the opportunity to upgrade, let's also focus on FO pay.

Let AAG think whatever they want...let the union send it to a vote...then vote it down if you don't like it.

Easy enough?

Will there be yes voters? Of course...there's tons of morons in this world...

I don't know what else to say.

Although I like what you are attempting to show, you may have made it slightly too confusing for the average person to understand. I would suggest going back and editing this somewhat.

Yes, much less than half pay, and that is just a fraction of the total compensation package. Management is out of touch with reality.

seafeye 02-03-2014 06:53 AM

There must be some bizarro world where management thinks that pilots making less money at the regionals will make it easier for them to hire and staff new pilots.

Record profits and they want 10 year concessions. What a world we live in.
