Senior guys, how has 117 affected days off?

Really interested to hear how 117 has affected guys at the regionals who were previously holding 16+ days off prior to it's implementation. A friend of mine at ExpressJet is a 7 year FO and in his base (CLE) the most senior line only offers 13 days off.

How is it elsewhere? Compass, Mesa, Skywest, Eagle?

I'm not senior by any means but it hit my average line pretty hard. I had 110 credit with 12 days off in December. In january I had 82 credit with 12 days off. That's a 28 hour per month paycut for me for working the same number of days.

It hasn't affected my schedule much at all. 92 hours of credit, 14 days off (I bid high credit). Pretty standard for me over the past 12 months. I'm just outside of the top 10% of the base.

Inconsistent so far.

Jan = 15 off (normal)
Feb = 12 off (min days off)

We shall see what March holds soon.

Same company, avg award is 14 days off 90 hours. 40 - 45% in base, no change with the new rules that I have noticed.

It's not just 117 that affects your lines. Staffing will make a bigger difference than anything else.

I think the company and lack of FOs has affected my schedule more than anything. I'm in the top 20% in my base (to be somewhat vague). I typically bid 4-days worth over 26 hours and 3-days worth over 20 hours. I am able to make a schedule out of that. When the credit window is manageable (80-90 hours at the bottom) I can get about 16-17 days off, these last few months with the window being about 100, I'm doing 14-15 days off.

Well I went from holding half weekends off and 15-17 days off/month to now holding 11 days off/month for both January and February. The horrible company I work for can never get their act together, and ALPA stands to the side with their hands in their pockets. Total joke.

18 days off Jan (2 MIL)

16 days off Feb (2 MIL)

Pretty much status quo for me, 12 out of 85 in an out station base.

Edit: I bid weekends off in February but not in January.

slumav505 02-08-2014 07:14 AM

December - 15 off, everything I asked for. All Commutable, 85 awarded.

January - vacation, 16 off, everythign I asked for. Less commutable. awarded 83, credited 92. (117 odds were ever in my favor)

February - 12 off, unstacked on, 82 hours.

18 of 65 Outstation based.

Credit tanked. December the average credit per day was closer 5, now the past two months its closer to 4. I was getting 22-23 hour 4 days, now 16-17-18. Nothing higher than 20 hours on a 4 day was even biddable for February. 117 put the smack down on credit (yay outstations), which enhanced the staffing problems. Too many bases, too many hubs that we fly to, very few match.
