Chances of Comair getting new RJs
With Delta having upwards of 50 CRJs to distribute, what do you think the odds are of Comair ending up with some of them. Im aware that comair just lost 12 -700s to SKW so any thoughts on what delta will do with the rest?

I just find it to be very curious that only 12 of the 43 70-seaters were announced. Why not announce them all. I think if Delta wanted to take all of the flying away they would have already. I feel the timing of the whole thing to be very suspicious.
Correct me if I am wrong but weren't the results supposed to be released by this time anyway, according to the original announcement. My opinion, Comair will retain most of its flying and win some of the new 76-seater flying. Either way, this will all come to a head within the next two weeks. Eleven days and counting until the snap-backs. |

It makes no sense to transfer 12 existing -700s from Comair and then give them NEW -700 flying.

if the contract gets thrown out you may see some growth according to the company. take it for what its worth. management trying to get concession.
With restructured labor agreements in place, Comair would be very competitive. So it would be our commitment to continue to grow Comair as we can in the future. So we're very committed to Comair," he said. http://news.cincypost.com/apps/pbcs....BIZ/612200332/ last line of the article. they were also supposed to have given out all of the flying by the end of 2006 but i think they are waiting for the judge to rule on the contract before they make final decisions. six days to go |
