I have not heard of any part-time pilot positions there.

The phone interview is usually done by Empire HR and chief pilot- mainly get to know you, tell me about a time, why are you interested in Ohana etc. Do as much homework as you can on operations and Empire as a company to show your interest. Nothing very technical, that's saved for the regular interview.

Am I the guy willing to do it for less?
Well, I'm the guy willing to work for what a fair wage to myself would be. Whether that's fair to you or not is another story. I am not, however, the guy who flew an RJ for 18k a year at any point of my life. In summary I may be willing to work for what you feel is less but I'm not willing to work for food stamps as many have.

Have you SEEN the cost of living in HNL??? Go fill out your ID-10-T form if youre willing to fly as a turbine PIC D.E.C. in that region for that. Seems you may be another part of the problem.

Sorry I hit submit to fast.
This is a hard question to answer, where are you now, what are you missing, what is your skill level like? Generally when you meet the mins you can bid a left seat position and they will schedule you for upgrade training.
