Had this happen to me about a month ago. 4:30am show did 3 legs and broke down at the outstation around 10am. Cancelled the rest of the day held us until 4-5pm for the next flight in. Deadhead back to the hub, then to the overnight finishing around 7:30-8pm. Still had barely 10hrs left by the time we got in so it was legal. Not fun.

OK I see the part that explains what's required if your DH exceeds the max FDP limit. However I'm still not seeing the explanation where you have to add the amount of time your FDP is exceeded by to your rest time. Don't you just need a rest equal to the length of the DH, or 10hrs(8 behind closed doors), whichever is greater?

FDP and 117

I'm curious how different airlines handle the 2-hour FDP extension. Has anyone been asked to do this?

Haven't been at CP and hear that they have decided they are not going to extend people because of paperwork involved. Don't know how true that is.
