So Skywests upgrade to hold a line is not 1.5 years. Seems otherwise they are clearly the regional to go to.
Can anyone tell me how equipment selection generally works or do they just pick out of a hat as to what they have available and give it to you.. ( thats any regionals Im asking about btw )

At Envoy you could hold DFW by the end of training.

Mesa the EJet is only going to guys with 121 experience. That will prob change in a few months.

I wonder how junior Dallas will be at PSA?

Probably because the FAA is all over the training center since it's a new plane and people with no 121 experience are more likely to fail training or struggle to get through. Skywest isn't letting any new hires into the 175 yet even if you have 121 experience for similar reasons.

Is that the reason why, or is it that -200 drivers and more senior guys want the new planes before some "young punk" gets the new gear?

I don't think it has anything to do with the size of the plane...a 175 is easier to fly than a saab or dash 8...FLY THE COCKPIT.

yes, but with the pull down of the AA flying they will not hire anyone into CHQ. The planes will come off as the contracts expire. CHQ is basically a staffing agency for the 170 and the Q right now in case RAH needs it. ORD closes June 1. Next one up will probably be SDF/CMH. JFK is going to be big as DL shifts our flying to JFK from LGA.
