Her absence from the cargo forums would suggest this as well. You'd probably be able to single out a few possibilities as "she" claims to be a peer and possibly trying bid the same lines (if I recall you're at UPS).

RJ's per se are no worse or better for this industry than 747s. The real problem is our lack of unity. A payscale that placed a pro rata value on 50 seat flying and 150 seat flying, and most importantly did not cause loss of longevity when changing from regional to mainline flying would repair much of the damage the profession has suffered.

Luck comes in good and bad flavors. Which were you trying to be? Which do you think people consider you to be?

I'm fairly certain she was trying to be insulting. I think you may not have noticed, considering how insulting you have been, quite apparently without any awareness of it. You might want to re-think some of your statements. The bad vibes you're sending have got to be playing hell with your Karma. You might end up with a false positive pee test, and your husband could run off with your stockbroker and all the money, all in the same day. Bad stuff happens to good people. Imagine what could happen to you. |

[QUOTE=robthree;96081]Clearly it is beyond your knowledge. It is also apparently beyond your comprehention and imagination.

Yeah, based on your obvious selfishness... ...you are a "bad person". QUOTE] All of this from an ERJ trainee. It is so nice to be judged by my peers. Wait a minute you, per se are not my peer. Go fly your RJ or whatever it is you are training for. and what does my disdain for the RJ have to do with Karma? Lastly, I don't think that we need any more grammar gestapo on this board. |

So where am I pre-judging your posts? I'm prejudging you! You’re "Come Backs," which are as sharp as a butter knife, lack originality. I've read enough of your post to realize you have issues that go far beyond the RJ concept.
If you wish to continue you need to get you facts strait. |

As far as your comment about the ERJ Trainee (robthree), your lack of originality continues to show as you rely on belittling others based upon their positions. Certainly someone as “Intelligent” as you can think of another way. |
do people think RJ's ruin the industry because its a jet, and as such takes the "prestige" away from flying in a jet aircraft? doubtful, everyone who gets on an RJ, says, "wow, this is small....i have to leave my bag where?" And when they get on a mainline aircraft, they typically say "I hate flying, security, and all that other B.S."
Flying became lackluster because the newness and excitement essentially wore off. When the average american has already seen the world from 30,000 feet, they begin to want to simply get where they're going as fast as possible, without as much hassle as possible. And the end result is they don't really care about the guy up front....exactly why we probably won't see the general public ever jump on a bandwaggon of why pilots need better pay, because the public doesn't know (nor care) about how bad the pay is. |

"Work" at home (with kids) sucks!! I tried it for two weeks while my wife was away and I couldn't wait to get back to "work!" |

Stop pre-judging my posts and actually read them....you might learn summin' boyee:D I few at ASA and many of the pilot there understood the problem of growing ASA and Comair at the expense of DAL where most of us wanted to go at the time.. but that doesn't mean that if we got some seniority to go onto an RJ, we turned it down on principal.. that's career suicide. The solution lies in a unified ALPA policy that sticks with scope clauses that make sense... both to the legacy carrier and to the career RJ pilot.. and at the same time "Regional" pilots need to treat their jobs like their the last jobs they'll ever have... this way they can make the quality of life and wages at the regionals better for themselves, and in the process price out the management's strategy of replacing 737's with RJ.. In the end, ATC can only handle so many aircraft and it makes more sense as growth continues to have 100+ seat aircraft and 50.. but if we allow the trend to continue, they'll just keep stretching the CL-65 and adding $5-$10/hr to it's pay and replace 737's that pay 2x as much. So if you're worried about this like I and many others I know are, focus on the solution and less on the poor saps etching out a crappy living who are just pawns on the chess board. Now go back to the Kitchen! :D |
